General info: WTUD is the on campus radio station that covers all events, both academically and athletically at tiffin university. The station specializes in digital video and covers all Ohio music.

General Hours: My hours throughout the day will vary depending on what home athletic events and other events occur throughout the day. I will host a morning show 9 a.m. to noon every weekday. It is possible that I might be on the road with the basketball teams streaming the games. I expect to reach a minimum of 200 hours, if not more during my internship.

Main Responsibilities: I will be responsible for hosting a morning radio show every weekday morning from 9 a.m.- noon. I will be responsible for camera operations for various athletic events and interviews. I will assist in play-by-play commentary for select athletic events, and it is possible that I will travel with the men and women's basketball teams to stream the games for the station. I will be responsible for editing some audio and video. I will record a sports podcast, which will air on my morning show everyday and I will record commercials that will be air throughout each day.

 

Compensation: I will be receiving school credit for this internship.

Goals: I have a few goals that I would like to accomplish during my internship. The first is I am a very determined person, so my goal is to help the company gain more viewership through my radio show and through my broadcasting. The second goal of mine to learn all parts of the radio industry, which includes set up and tear down equipment, editing, and interviewing skills. I want to be great at all facets of the business. My final goal is that I want to become a better leader during my internship. Hopefully one day students will ask me if they can do an internship, and learn under my leadership.

Expected Outcome: This semester will be about a whole new beginning for me. Considering I have higher expectations on myself, I will feel like the internship is not going well, when in reality the internship is going as planned. This semester will be about whether I have the physical capabilities, as well as the mental capabilities to handle the position of a sports broadcaster, as long hours are required, as well as travel requirements are expected.
